1. How do you make a living?

2. Has your career been impacted by Covid-19 and if so, how?

The business has been impacted both in terms of lots of interest for Rebel Book Club as people have more time for spending, but also our members are being financially hit. So growth has slowed!

We have pivoted quickly - having to switch from real > digital events.

I’m trying to support other entrepreneurs/freelances during this time

3. How has that impact made you feel?

I’m experiencing different things at different times.

Energy / focus / creativity / motivation / hope for a better world.

But also...

Sadness / frustration / muddled mind.

4. How are you safeguarding your career during this time?

I’m working hard on the business and trying to support others.

5. Will you change anything about your way of living when things go back to normal? If yes, how?

Not dramatically, as I already work at home.

6. How are you maintaining your wellbeing during this time?

Simple living - family/work/run/read, in that order of priority.

I feel like I should be trying to make more time for friends/network, but unfortunately we had no wifi for 9 days so that slowed us down!

7. If you were to recommend one thing to do in lockdown - what would it be & why?

Read ;)

After that, if you have time, create/play/make/help/be. Try things you know you're curious about but often put off. There will never be a better time and it might just reveal something really important!

8. If a helping hand could be given to you now, what would it look like?

A big platform to place a spotlight on businesses that make the world a better place.

9. If you were to spend lockdown with a famous person, who would it be and why?

Talented, motived, well-resourced entrepreneurs or TV/Radio presenters or just an amazing coach/trainer! It’s so hard to pick one…

  • Michael Acton-Smith

  • Paul Lindley

  • Casper ter Kuile

  • Eliud Kipchoge

  • Richard Walker

  • Kate Raworth

  • Hugo Tagholm

  • Sam Coniff Allende

  • Rachel Botsman

… But actually my family rocks!

10. What excites you most about post-lockdown life?

Less consumerism, more community, a chance to slow down the climate crisis, more creativity and better mental health.
