Simple ways to boost your creativity as a marketeer

  1. Own your learning process

Inspiration and opportunities to learn new tools and insights don’t happen on your sofa and creativity doesn’t necessarily happen in your office. Prioritise little and often bursts of upskilling to ensure you stay ahead of the game.

  2. Go out to the world and engage

Collect knowledge and feed your mind from people outside your day-to-day life. Collaborate with others to gain new perspectives and spark new ideas.

  3. Be in the flow

We make circa 35k decisions every day. Decision fatigue is real! Practice mindfulness to clear your mind and focus on the present moment.

  4. Listen to your gut instinct

It’s your fast intelligence and not irresponsible to listen to it. If something doesn’t feel right, listen to that.

  5. Change your environment

It’s so easy nowadays to work from home, but it can stifle your ability to think differently. Changing your workspace or simply rearranging your desk, can help you break out of your routine and stimulate new ideas.

  6. Seek inspiration

Art, music and nature can have a powerful effect on our emotions and mood. Studies have shown that spending time in nature can improve our cognitive function, including our ability to think creatively and solve problems.

A good soak in a bubble bath will do the trick too!
